how can i edit stp file using inventor 2011

i get the file from grabcad.i want edit the solid.i have try to copy object and it's not work.i want use it for my final year project.i hope u can teach me how do i edit this femoral stem.my inventor 2011 not have inventor fusion.i hope can get the solution for my problem

That is not an attachment - that is a hyperlink.

I downloaded and had no difficulty, but that doesn't tell me anything about your problem.

 

Attach your *.ipt file here.

 

What is your real problem statement?

Is it, "I can't open any *.stp files with my Inventor 2011?

 

What do you mean by, "...try to copy object?"  Can you post screen shots?

 

More information is needed to help solve your problem.

If that is the case - the OP should attach their *.ipt attempt here.

The geometry is pretty simple.

IF you can bring it in ... and translate it to a solid IPT? If so try and see if the add-in for Feature recognition http://ketiv.com/support/tech-tips/what-happened-to-feature-recognition-for-inventor-2011
