driving me crazy

Hi,

I need urgent help please.  I did raise this issue earlier but would like to talk about that again.

In a multibody part file, creating a sketch is easy.  I hide all other multibodies and work with only 1 solid body.  I can create a sketch and work as shown without having all other multibodies visible.

But, the problem starts if I want to edit that sketch later.  When I select the sketch and go for editing, this how the screen looks.  Though visibility is off, all the parts are visible and hiding the sketch I want to work with.

any help?

Will hitting the F7 key still slice the graphics?

Sometimes you just need a good old reboot.

Wasn't this covered earlier.

The parents of children on shown.
Use the origin planes and centerpoint if possible rather than projected sketch or especially projected feature geometry.

What you are seeing is normal and logical behavior.

Using the BORN technique will eliminate this problem.

No, it doesn't slice the graphics.

Hi,
I thought there may a simple option of choosing don't want to see parents while editing sketch.
I read thru ur BORN tech. I will try to work around that here after. In saying that is there any way to create a plane say 50 mm offset to a existing part surface and delete the associvity between them. In other words, can we create non associative work features. I use inv 2013.

In cases like this I switch to wire frame so I can see what's happening.
