copy skecth in part file and keep reference to projected geometry

is there a way to copy a sketch with projected geometry, in the same part file and on the same working plane

and keep the projetcted geometry link so when the geometry change it changes all the copied skecth

rigth now it ain't working for me

i have a sketch that have some prejetcted point frome anothe sketch in the part file

when i copy/paste the sketch if i change the geometry the copied sketch doesnt update

No. When you copy and paste you copy and paste the geometry, no the associativity with the projected edges of the previous sketch.

To go with parametric you can use parameters or ifetaures in this case.

Can you supply more information on your design intent?

I don't think I have ever seen an Inventor file like this and don't really understand your end-goal.

Hi! This is indeed a limitation in Inventor. Unfortunately, when the sketch definition plane is changed, the link will be broken. It is because depending on the new definition plane, the associativity may not be preserved anyway. But, In some cases preservation is possible. There is room for improvement here.

Thanks!
