Can you copy a section view in an idw?
I have a need for the same view, due to excessive dims but do not want additional section letters to show....

Make a detail view of the entire sectin view.
You'll have to make the phantom detail "fence" larger than the drawing sheet so
it doesn't print- - I don't see an easy way to turn it off.

Do as Mark said but then doubleclick on the new view and turn off "Show Scale" and "Show Label". Now click on the Options tab and turn off "Definition in Base View" to get rid of the "fence" in the original secction view.
