constraining an assembly

Hello all,

After opening a solidworks assembly I find that the parts are not constrained. Is there an esay way to constrain them without doing it part by part?  Thanks.

No.

Any parts that have no relative motion and will not change size or position you could simply Ground.

You might also Demote some parts to logical sub-assemblies.

Unless you have a lot of motion parts (that can't be simplified by demotion to sub-assemblies) or expect a lot of changing, then grounding should be pretty quick.

Nothing needed to move. Grounding worked like a charm. Thanks JD.
