Thanks for the replays.
I don't want to drive or move the components.
I just want some kind of tool that would check all of the assembly and see if any of the parts are in collision.
Coming from pro/e...there was a tool like that, it would give a list of all collisions, and you could click on each of them in the list
and it would highlight the two colliding parts and also the area of collision.

yep thats "basically" what the inspect..analyze interference tool does..
