coincident constraint

A few days ago when I would draw a C-channel, i was able to just draw it and extrude it but now when I try that it does not work.  I have to use the coincident constraint every time I draw something using the line command in Inventor 2012. Is there an option I accidentally turned off that it is making me use the constraint every time?

A file with a c-channel shape is attached, try the offset and extrude command to see what I am talking about.

Hi jones311,

You've likely toggled off your constraint inference and/or constraint persistence buttons.

This link from Paul Munford covers it:

http://cadsetterout.com/inventor/temporarily-turn-off-inferred-constraints/

Or you've turned off the inference for just the coincident constraints.

Check this by right-clicking while in a sketch and choosing Constraint Options:

I hope this helps.

Good luck with all of your Inventor pursuits,

Curtis

Hey Curtis,

My constraint options was the problem, I must of unchecked all of the constraints at some point  but that fixed my problem.

Thanks alot for the help.
