Let's start with your system specifications See this for what is needed:

http://teknigroup.com/support/Inventor/Howto.html

Something else to check (if you can get this far. Open Inventor, go to tools >> Application Options without opening a file:

What do you see here under the general tab?

I did a search in the source code for Inventor. You should see a dialog, not just a Message box.

The Dialog should give additional information to fix the problem:

Current Undo Folder:

Undo Folder Status:

In order to help you with this issue, it would be best if you could post a screenshot of this dialog here.

regards,

Gerald

Yes Dash1982,

I agree with this question, can you post the solution because I got the same error on a fresh installation of AutoCADInventor and I have  no idea how to solve this problem. I'd like to prevent that our users get this message

Error AutoCADInventor.jpg

If possible I would like to change the path to a location where All Users have acces (for instance d:\Undo) but where can I configure this setting?

Best regards,

I am having this problem in our school district.  I believe it is related to roaming profiles.  I would like to know how to set the path for the undo folder to a place everyone will have access to.  Can anyone help?

Mr. dash1982, The discussion forums are not only the place to take

I recently found that if your C: drive (Where ever your Inventor Installation is) is out of memory

then you experience that problem. Hope that helps

Yep, that was my problem. Thanks.

Hard drive full.  Inventor 2013, Windows 7.  Deleted some junk then Inventor was able to open again.

Message 16 of 17

Yes I agree.

If you have the same problem just delete some files from your PC and Inventor will start working again.

The solution is to make more free space on disc where Inventor was being installed 🙂 or change a path to another disc location.
