Hi im on wnidows 7 64, with inventor 2013
main problem is i have a custom standar/library that I am trying to use with frame generator,
whenever i try and use it I get the error message "a frame member could not be created....could not be located in the content center library.
standard built in libary seems to work.
this custom library was created in 2008.
we use vault content center
from the project file manager, it shows the custom libary as updated and read write.
If i go to file > open from content center, I get "unable to create compoenent"...this message comes up if I open any part from the conent center this way. even the standard built in libraries??
If I am in an assembly and insert, it is fine.
Im trying to lcoate the content center cache to delete it but i cant find the path in windows 7??
I had some strange issues with opening/updating from the Content Center. I found a cache here :
C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Inventor 2010\Content Center\CMCache. Sometimes "manipulating" this cache seems to solve some problems, for example :
Impossible to open from the CC, or the CC part is different if you insert it as standard or as custom. I rename the folder CMCache (do NOT delete it !). When I insert the part : "Impossible to create a component". Go back to Windows Explorer : Inventor has created a new folder CMCache. I delete it and rename the old one. Restart Inventor : it's ok !
Thanks for the re: Tonellal, I tried what you suggested it did re-create the dir but I got the same error message.
I will continue to mess around with it.
Hi,
Can you successfully use the 'Place from Content Center' command to insert the members? Or is the issue only within the Frame Generator?
Could it be related to using custom materials?
Thanks,
Hi Nathan; Yes the place from content center works.
I will also look through this linke
thanks

It seem that a custom TEXT user parameter in a custom Template make this error.
