Hi all, I have a quick question from a new user.
I created a 2D sketch on the X-Y plane and rotated it 180 to make a 3D object. No big deal.
Now I want to create a 2D sketch (now on the Z-Y plane but that shouldn't matter) and draw lines constrained to the prior 3D surface. Unfortunately I can't seem to find how to constrain lines I'm drawing in a new 2D sketch to the 3D surface. It's like it doesn't exist! How do I constrain 2D sketch objects (lines, curves, etc) to a 3D surface already in place?
I can select the prior sketch surface if I've not selected to draw a line, but when I select to draw something I no longer can select the 3D surface.
Does my question make sense? Thanks everyone!
You need to project the 3D geometery into your sketch first.
I suggest you go through some of the tutorials, they should cover these sort of things.
Attach your file here if you can't figure it out.
