advice on project file changes related to switch local CC libraries

For the last few years I had my content center libraries running as part of the vault server. I have not made any customizations.

I want to try to have the content center libraries on my local machine to see if that speeds things up.

Is that possible while still using the vault server for our regular data?

Do I need to make any changes to my project file?

TIA

If you are using Vault I would strongly recommend against doing this.  We are in the process of putting the CC into the vault because with ours currently outside it is causing us all kinds of grief.  Mainly because if you make custom CC parts and do not give them unique filenames vault will not allow you to check inany files associated with these parts.

My experience with CC on the Vault Server is not good.

Things become sooooo slllooooowwwww. It is beyond pathetic.

You are going to be wasting soo much time thinking you need:

a faster network

faster ethernet adapter

faster servers

faster ethernet cables

more RAM

get rid of conflicting applications

All to no avail. Slow as molasses.
