How to add Inventor Tooling Custom Mold Materials ?

I have not found a way to do this - use an existing material with similar properties.

You can do this but you have to work with Autodesk on it and it may be very expensive if you are trying to add your own material.  Their two Mold labratories do the testing and addition to the database and then you can get a patch to add it in.

Hi,

 

Most of material manufactures can provide the .udb file for their materials. If only you can get the .udb file, you can place it into Moldflow material installation folder (e.g. C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Inventor 2011\Moldflow\data\udb\). And then these materials can be used in both Moldflow and AIT.
