Welcome.
I have a workstation HP EliteBook 8770w with NVIDIA Quadro graphics card K300M.
The equipment is practically new.
I have a problem with large assemblies in Inventor.
After loading the assemblies work practically impossible.Inventor stops and "thought."
And I can not find a driver certified by Autodesk to my graphics card.
I have 16GB ram memory.
With this equipment, everything should work smoothly.
Maybe it is a matter of the appropriate drivers for my graphics card?
Unfortunately, I can not find certified by Autodesk.
Currently have version 311.43
Maybe someone knows the solution to the problem?
I greet.A.P.
Check your assembly for "adaptive " parts, if there is adaptive parts in the assembly and the adaptivity is turned on it will be very very slow to do anything
Autodesk is no longer "certifying" graphics card drivers, as long as the drivers are "Microsoft Certified".
Some laptops ship with both the Nvidia high performance graphics card and a "lesser" onboard Intel graphics card. The default is for the lesser card as it improves battery life. You may need to check in the Nvidia control panel that the Nvidia high-performance card is selected.
Submission was created using part derivative.
File received from the cooperating companies.
In the NVIDIA Control Panel is set to high performance.
How do I set the computer to use the default with the NVIDIA card instead of Intel?
The same file on a laptop Dell Inspiron 7720-9583 runs very smoothly / well.
Dell Inspiron parameters:
- Processor Intel (R) Core (TM) i7-3610QM CPU@2.30GHz
- 8GB RAM
- Graphics NVIDIA GeForce GT650M - Intel (R) HD GRAPHICS 4000
Parameters for my computer is comparable. The graphics are not designed for CAD, but rather to games. Less RAM. The invetor the same version. The operating system is the same. So why in my work worse, practically work on the assembly file is not possible.?
I don't have my laptop at the office. I will have to look at it tonight when I get home. It's in the Nvidia Control panel and it should show which "processor" is the default. I have the option on mine of being able to actually designate which program uses which processor.

like this:
1. Right click on the Autodesk product shortcut i.e. Inventor 2014 on Desktop.
2. Select Properties > Run with Graphics processor.
3. You will have two options: High-performance NVIDIA processor (default) & Integrated graphics
4. Select High Proformance graphics and proceed

I do not have that option or can not find.
Can I have a screenshot?
Except that the option Inventor shows that the use of the correct graphics card ie the NVIDIA
Looks like you are running on the Nvidia processor and getting 5.0 for the feature level. There isn't any reduced power settings on the laptop to extend battery life that are enabled all the time.
Little did I understand.
What is the "Feature Level 5.0"
I have Power Options set to high performance.
Perhaps this is not a graphics card problem?
When you open a file is growing memory usage.
I did a test RAM memory and it's fine.
Also did tests on various types of RAM and further memory usage reaches almost 100%
Feature Level: ADSK looks at the hardware and determines what the max level of quality you can achieve with your hardware. 5.0 is a good high level.
I would go to the Nvidia website and download the latest Microsoft Certified driver for your graphics card. Autodesk no longer certifies graphics card drivers.
Yes, this could be a problem that is not graphics card related.
