Since not everyone uses the same version of Inventor. Could we add two attachments with the restriction that the first be restricted to only DWF!

The second would be used to attach actual datasets.

This would allow anyone to *see* what someone is talking about without first having to download a .zip file or someone having to first post DWF, then turn right back around and create another post with the dataset attached.

This would also help spread the word on DWF!!!

Do you mean something sensible like the "dead" issue of separate
newsgroups for each version of IV? Let alone the even "deader" issue of
AIP vs AIS?

Sorry to hijack your thread but ....

Nope...I doubt anyone would look through multiple newsgroups based on versions, I wouldn't and don't have the time. This would limit the discussions somewhat.

Just need to make it easier for everyone to see what's going on and DWF does that.

For now, I'll just keep posting the DWF first, then attach the dataset to an additional post or into customer files.

Sorry, I rather upload a small JPEG to show certain problems/issues

There was a thing at one stage about posting the release number at the same time so those with previous versions needn't bother
looking at datasets.

But it would be helpful if more users posted something to help explain the problem.

The more info, the better.
