Windows ME

I know that in theory Inventor 7 does not work with Windows ME. Has anyone
been successful in even installing 7 on ME. I put the disk in the computer
and the computer looks at me like I am stupid (a very smart computer). I
open explorer and click on autorun and I get the stupid look from the
computer. Should I just quit trying to buck the system?

... Should I just quit trying to buck the system?...

YES, it will just frustrate you if you succeed.

Even if there was a workaround, you do NOT want to install IV7 with ME.

No I do not but someone else does and since I am the one who installs
Inventor here they want me to try.

The answer to the request is "It can't be done! an NT based OS is
essential."

...i love how ME gets ripped on. i use winnt, win98, winme, win2000, and now
winxp. i have winme on my wife's home computer. ME is far more stable than
WIN98SE ever was on that pc. those who bash ME just don't know how to
configure it...

now, after defending winme, i prefer winxp...ha ha.

I will agree with you. Believe it or not the best computer I have had is a
Gateway with Windows ME as the OS. Every other computer manufacture I have
used and every other OS I have use I have gotten so frustrated with the
computer I gave it away. Now that I have put that large target on my chest
fire away, but it is all true.

Hey, next time you get frustrated, give me a call, ok? I could use a new
computer.
