Who would like a dedicated Inventor.Customer-Files group?
Who would like a dedicated Inventor.Customer-Files group?
I would really like a dedicated Inventor C-F Newsgroup. I think it would
really help streamline the discussions for Inventor. Who else agrees?
And while I'm at it - Who would like a dedicated Inventor-Gallery NG? This
one came to mind when I noticed the Architectural guys have 2 (TWO!)
newsgroups dedicated to galleries.
I have diligently tried to include the word Inventor for the first word in
the subject in CF, but for the posters who haven't adopted this, sorting
through hordes of (whatever-arkitekstuff) makes things more difficult than
they need to be.
Perhaps it would also be easier on some if a CF existed with the IVword....
I can totally understand why a fairly new participant would not immediately
"know" to subscribe to "autocad.customer-files".

Everybody knows that Inventor isn't AutoCAD.
So how could we ever use autodesk.AUTOCAD.customer-files?
We really need autodesk.INVENTOR.customer-files.
A gallery would be nice also.

I've copied off the requests and sent them to the Inventor
manager. He would have to request that an Inventor Files group be
opened. I would think that a Files group, if opened, could be
used as a combined Files/Gallery group.

I would rather see a AIS CF newsgroup.
- alot of us use both MDT & IV
- It all comes together in one package
- Maybe call in the Mechanical3D CF

My proposal to have a dedicated Inventor.CF was to reduce the amount of
searching through the Acad/ADT/SHX/Lisp/Viz/Layers/Hatches/Map posts just to
find the posts referred to in the Inventor NG's. It's generally not a big
problem if you look for files on the same day as they were posted - but when
you look for posts a week or more in history they are just plain lost in the
fog of all the other products.
