Views background update never ends

Hello,

When I open a drawing, Inventor 2012 update views. The default option is Background update". The problem is the update never ends... I can use Inventor, but the background update is ne finished, so I can't print a correct drawing.

If I disable Backupdate it is ok, but how can I use it ?

Hi,

I had the same issue and was able to resolve it by doing the following:

1) In Application Options>Drawing tab I uncheck background updates.

2) In drawing document I opened it with defer updates.

3) Navigated to page with the issue.

4) IN Doc Settings I uncheck defer updates AND changed memory saving mode pull down to NEVER.

After the drawing finished updating the issue was gone.
