Using Unfold

Is it possible to use the unfold option (sheetmetal/modify tab) to show vaious stages in folding a component in a drawing. (as you can with pos reps)?

I am currently using three ipt files to show the various stages of a part in a drawing, there must be a better way?

Cheers

You could use unfold with iParts, or if you used the fold command you can just suppress those in and iPart too.

Post your file for a definite answer.

Cheers,

Ryan

You can use an iPart to do this, create the fold or unfold feature and suppress the features in the ipart.

see if this helps (it should be an animated GIF file, open in web browser to play):

I got your file and it will work good using an ipart, just suppress the unfold or refold where needed.  I can't post the file back because I am running 2011 but I have posted a screenshot of what I think the ipart table will look like.

Thanks Ryan, I'll give that a try . . .

(I am currently using 2010 but 2011 is on site awaiting installation!)
