Using Excel INDIRECT function and linking to inventor not working

Hi, I am using a spreadsheet to drive an automation in inventor. In my spreadsheet I have many named ranges and I found it useful to use the INDIRECT function in some of my sheets. The problem I am having is that Inventor craps out whenever I try to link it to a cell using the indirect function. Also it seems to stop all other variables from being linked even though they are not using the indirect function.

I am using inventor 2012 and excel 2007.

You may need to do that with excel 2003.

Thanks

We are using excel automation dll's in order to do certain calculation functions in excel and I don't think they would be compatible in 2003. Everything in our spreadsheet worked fine until we used the INDIRECT function which is built into excel. Is there no other way of getting this to work?
