Unresolved File ref in DA but not in IDW or IAM files

I get an unresolved file ref error message when I open an IDW file in Design
Assistant but I do not get the error when I open the
files referenced in the path. Opening the IDW shows no ref issues at all &
the "missing" file is in the referenced IDW/IAM files.

The missing file happens to be in a subfolder under my library folder & I
checked that it's there & file name is good, etc.

Why am I getting this error in DA?

I'm guessing that it is the Re-Computed Updates setting that is causing the problem, again

Go to the main menu, Tools --> App Ops --> Save(tab) and check/tick the box for Prompt to Save for re-computable updates.

Open the relevant IAM, rebuild and save.

With the IAM still open, open the IDW.

Go to File --> Save All --> Close All.

Now use DA.

Do you happen to have derived parts with suppressed links?

If so, the iam/ipt/idw doesn't look for the base component. Apparently, DA still looks for the component, but only in the location it was in when it was derived.

Paul,
No, the missing parts were not derived. So thats not it. That's a good tip
though, didn't know about that one.

Duncan,
I managed to complete the DA rename I was doing without any mishap despite
the error message.
I'll try your method next time I come across this issue. Thanks.
