Uninstalling ADMS 2008 and Installing ADMS 2009

I am attempting to install ADMS 2009. When I insert my install disk it indicates that a previous version ADMS 2008 has been detected so ADMS 2009 was not installed. Unfortunately, when I try to uninstall ADMS 2008 I get this error: Exception Processing Message 0x0000013 Parameters 0x763E92A0 0x00000004 0x763E92A0 0x763E92A0. If I hit continue a few times I finally get a Repair or Reinstall/Uninstall page. When I select uninstall the uninstall begins, but eventually comes up with Internal Error 2739 and kicks me to a Maintenance Failed page. i.e. I can’t uninstall the older version; therefore, I can’t install the newer one that I need. Any help will be appreciated as I am most frustrated.

Try doing a full repair of ADMS 2008. Then

The Inventor 2008 was a time limited student version that I downloaded from Autodesk, so I don’t have an install disk. Also, I should have mentioned, when I attempted a no disk repair utilizing the files from the original download of 2008, I got a similar ERROR message. Thanks though, any other Ideas?

find the register key
''ProductCode'' @ [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Autodesk\PLM\Autodesk
Data Management Server 6.0\Common],  then Start->Run->msiexec /x
{ProductCode}, if it doesn't work for you,please try to uninstall it using
Windows install clean-up utility

When I search [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Autodesk\PLM\Autodesk
Data Management Server 6.0\Common] The specified path does not exist. Check path and try again. My OS is Vist Home Premium 64. Does it make a difference. Having had a couple of bad outcomes, I'm a bit hesitant to edit the registry.

Hi

for 64bit Vista, the key ''ProductCode" is
here,
size=3>[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Autodesk\PLM\Autodesk Data
Management Server 6.0\Common]
