I need to trim pipes of different diameters and diagonally at corners of a frame. Is this doable? Trim only seems to work with flat faces.
Thanks.
Will the notch command not work? How about making a quick iFeature? Can you post a screenshot or something to view to get a better idea of what you are looking for?
I need to do the same - does anyone have a solution for this? I am using 2012
Notch doesnt work

Should work fine.
In some cases you need to use Copy Object face or trimming as surface, or use 2013 for curved parts.
But looks like that one should be straight forward.
Attach the assembly here.
What happens if you reverse the order of Notch selection?
(see attached)
That did the trick. I was trying notch but was obviously selecting the pipe in the wrong order
Thanks

Looking at the image that was my first instinct too.
Took me a bit to figure it out. Still doesn't seem righ to me.
Hi,
I think I have the same problem as "helmie".
I want to trim my circular pipe to nicely connect to the other circular pipe. I've used framegenerator.
See attached screenshot. Using Inventor 2011.
How was this solved for helmie? I can't open his file.
Attach your assembly here.
Hi,
Please find attached zip. Im not sure it will work.. I tried Pack and Go but that file is almost 4 Mb after it was zipped, and the maximum limit is 1,5 Mb
Notch command works fine here on your part.
