Trimming pipes used in frame generator

I need to trim pipes of different diameters and diagonally at corners of a frame. Is this doable? Trim only seems to work with flat faces.

Thanks.

Will the notch command not work? How about making a quick iFeature? Can you post a screenshot or something to view to get a better idea of what you are looking for?

Should work fine.
In some cases you need to use Copy Object face or trimming as surface, or use 2013 for curved parts.
But looks like that one should be straight forward.

Attach the assembly here.

What happens if you reverse the order of Notch selection?

That did the trick. I was trying notch but was obviously selecting the pipe in the wrong order

Thanks

Hi,

I think I have the same problem as "helmie".

I want to trim my circular pipe to nicely connect to the other circular pipe. I've used framegenerator.

See attached screenshot. Using Inventor 2011.

How was this solved for helmie? I can't open his file.

@rogieA

It probably would have been better to start a new thread for your issue.

Can you attach your assembly here?
