Is Autodesk Inventor Proffesional 2012 compatible with any touch screens?
Or can you even use them in Inventor. I have seen that solidsworks works.

Youtube says yes.
Take a look if you have access
Note that user first uses Autodesk Sketchbook, then Inventor, and finally AutoCAD.
No way in hell I would use Inventor with a touchscreen.. Your arms/shoulders will be exhausted by the end of the day.
Not too mention I can't stand finger prints on my screen.
I would like to see a touch screen UI or even VR, (theres a lot of xbox kenex, (or connects or whatever it is) stuff on youtube. With a little manipulation, it can be plugged into a PC and used as in "minority report", lots of waving your hands in the air to activate commands. I believe the coding is opensource as well, may be wrong...
my collegues have presentations we are porting over to tablets at the moment using Adobe Content Viewer, so they can be downloaded from i(steal all of your money)tunes or the Android market...
What if you laid the monitor down like the old drawing tables used to be, and used a stylus pen instead of your finger? Then to manipulate the part you could have a space mouse pro in your left hand....
Seems intriguing to me.
