Toolbars (Hey Walt it's back)

Magical moving toolbars...

This is such a pain. Why can't they just stay still. See CF.
Toolbar1 is the way I set it. Toolbar 2 is the way it looks whenever I
start IV.

And I'm even giving the panel bar a shot. That should appease the panel bar
gods should it not...

Do yourself a favour place the panel bar on left of screen so the icons are
four or five wide you should just see the "Assembly Panel \/ ?" in full and
put the browser on top, there is then no need to have any other toolbars
open. Works all the time no fuss, the rest of your view is perfect. My 2c's

That should have been " place the browser on top" of panel so the browser
starts just below panel.

Sorry, I've tried it that way and when you have to resize the browser to
remedy the horizontal scrolling problem (or to see all of the long names)
the position of the buttons change. I work via position, not visual cues
(like touch typing) and want the buttons to always be in the same place.
The panel bar above the browser doesn't foster this environment.

As for having access to all of the commands I also dislike the flyouts on
the more commonly used buttons. I use sketch constraints all of the time
and want access to them all via one click, not two

Regardless, the should be jumping around like this anyway. Well off to try
toolbar layout 100. I just know I'm going to end up making it look like it
did in R1

(sigh) Yeah, I know. It's doing it to me, too. Even their beloved panel
bar can't seem to stay where I put it.

I once worked with a foreman who had several workers who could never seem
to remember what you'd told them the day before. They constantly needed
retraining on every little job. He would walk away, shaking his head and
muttering:

"It's a brand new day."

If you look back in the old group, you'll find that it was just ten days shy
of a year ago that we were told this problem would be fixed in R6. It's
enough to make a guy cynical.
