My title block created in IV exports to acad with text that moves upward
enough out of the lines to look very unprofessional. All the title block
text (created using the both the text command & field properties) is Ariel
font.
Anything I can do to prevent this or do I have to recreate the title block
in Acad & insert /fillout everytime I export?

In my situation all the offending text in the IV title block had the
"Spacing" set as "Exactly" in the Edit Definition dialog box.
It should be "Single". That fixes the problem.
I don't know why IV chose to create the text with "Exact" spacing unless it
just happened to be selected while I was making my text for the title block.
Something to look out for when editing title blocks.
