Threads not displaying in an assembly drawing

Is it true that threads (hidden lines) do not display in a section view of an asssembly drawing? They appear at the part level drawing.

Or am I missing a setting...

Edit the view and in Display Options tab check Thread Feature checkbox.

Is there (will there ever be) an option to make the threads ON as default?  (even if I have to use regedit) [for views of assembly models]

If I understand correctly, current versions (the original post was concerned with Inventor 2008) will maintain the options that were checked when a view was last placed.  This is per view type, so placing a Base view will maintain options separate from placing a Section view, for instance.  But the option needs to be set when placing the view and will then be the default for every Base view (for example) placed after that.  This is maintained indefinitely, until a view is placed with a different option.

Hope that helps you.  The OP probably doesn't care anymore...
