Tangent Edges Bugs?

I know there has been discussion about this in regards to the quality of
prints but this is a different issue.

Make a cube and chamfer all edges so you have plenty of tangent edges.

Bug #1:
Place a view (the base def). You do not have the option to check "tangent
edges" regardless of the style (hidden lines, no hidden lines or shaded).

Why don't we have the option before placement? This also goes for other
things like threaded features etc. There are several boxes checked but
grayed out.

Bug #2:

1. Place a shaded view of the cube above. The tangent edges show even
thought he box is unchecked. I assume this is due to the fact that it's a
shaded view and shaded views always have tangent edges shown. That's fine
just make the box check automatically.
2. Now edit the view and go to the second tab. Tangent edges is still not
checked.
3. Now change the view to a hidden lines hidden view.

Ok here is where it gets weird. If you go to the second tab before hitting
OK(after changing to a hidden lines removed style) you have about a 50/50
change of the tangent edges box not being grayed out for you to uncheck or
check. Sometimes I could, sometimes I could not. Regardless hit OK.

Now you have to go back into edit view and uncheck the tangent edges box to
make them disappear.

It seems that the dialogue doesn't always recognize the fact that you
changed the view type. Strange behavior...

You do mean to use fillets and not chamfers correct in this test?
I too wish you could check the show tangent edges option before creating a
view. I've been doing quite a bit of piping as of late and having the views
default to show tangent edges would be nice. Also, show tangents is the
default in shaded views. Don't think there is anyway around this.
As far as Inventor not recognizing you changed view format is due to the
fact the view style update doesn't occur till you click ok. It didn't give
me the option to change it 50% of the time, it never gave the option at all
till I clicked ok then went in and reedited the view.
Seems as though it would be better if the view updated the instant you pick
the view style change before you click ok to finish the view edit.
Veiw editing could use a little streamlining in the next SP *crosses
