The problem is that has to be an ipart that has the option of it swaged. So to draw the form is not really changeable. I can do the swag form first then extrude the pipe length from there but that leaves too much guess work for a user. I have already made one up using the shell tool but it takes so many steps to accomplish it. I was looking for a faster easier way of doing it. I thank you for your help so far.
Basically trying to recreate this to show someone different things that can be made, with different lengths with or without the swag
And use this as a replacement when needed but without the swag.
The whole Idea centers around making things using the chain link hardware.
Is this really what the part(s)? are supposed to look like?
I suspect you might be doing too much work.
Also, notice the i in circles next to several of your features.
No, the part is supposed to look like this when it has the swag option. I don’t know why it came out like that but I have since made an adjustment right after I uploaded, and decided to test. Then my attention was called to other projects.
Yes it is too much work that’s why I asked if there was a better way. I was hoping that more knowledgeable, about Inventor, persons such as you would be able to help. I am very new to this sort of software.
I am trying to recreate this in small sections, and then they will need to drill holes. It is going to be a series of tutorials.
"Also, notice the i in circles next to several of your features." <-------- I don't know what you mean here
