Sub-Assembly Problems

I have a spherical bearing (bearing in housing moves) in a sub assembly and when I bring it into the top level assembly it doesn't behave like it does in the sub-assembly. Why, Why, Why? I've used adaptivity and it is still treated as a solid static entity.

If you make the sub adaptive it should work.
See CF for an example.   Open TopLevel.iam.  The parts in it are
a sub.

The adaptivity is for modify the part file not for allowing the spherical bearing to move freely in the housing. The bearing is in a housing and this makes up the sub-assembly.

I don't understand what you are asking.  When
you make a sub adaptive it allows you to move the sub in the top level
assembly.  Adaptivity also is used for cross part
relationships.

Can you post your subassembly in CF and let me take
a look?

I have posted my problem in the other customer file newsgroup. Notice how I'm not able to use the 15 degree constraint and allow the assembly to be adaptive.

wow that is one funky assy... not sure what is
going on there... I see lots of no-no's but I'm having trouble making it work as
well.  Let me try tonight or tomorrow AM and let me see if I can get it to
work.
