There could be an easier way....

To make a work point on the end of a cylindrical tube you have to define an
axis then the end face to get the point, surley we should be able to select
the concentric circular end of the tube to create a point....
I have a bunch of tubes at funny angles that I am using as the defining line
for a 3dsweep and I just want to put points on the ends of the tubes then
run a line thru the tubes. Its painful to create so many workpoints the
above way.

Brian,

I think inline workfeatures will do what you want.

They are features created (as sub features) while creating a workfeature.

When placing the point, simply RMB->create axis immediately after selecting
the workpoint tool; select the cylinder (for axis) and select the end face
to create the workpoint.

See Drew's IV Faq 3507 for a basic explanation and Tips and Tricks 1010 for
an in-depth discussion on _nested_ inline workfeatures (totally awsome
power but takes some getting used to)

I agree, I use them everywhere I possibly can. Another benefit is they are
nested in the browser to save space.
