Skeleton not current version

Hello All,

I have a problem concerning the frame generator skeleton. When I try to save my assembly with its frame.iam and skeleton.ipt, I can't save it. The save window says that the skeleton is not the current version.

In the folder where the skeleton file is saved, two skeleton ipt files are appearing, one "skeleton.ipt and one "skeleton.newver.ipt"

I'm working with Autodesk Inventor Professional 2012, in combination with Autodesk Vault 2012.

Does anyone had this same problem before?

What could be the reason?

How to resolve this problem?

Tiziano

Hi Tiziano,

This error in general indicates that, for some reason, the version of the file that is in memory (RAM) is different from the version on the hard disk.

Before saving the file, click on the big I in the top left corner > Manage > Refresh.

Then try to save the file again.

I hope it helps.

Kind regards,

Alessandro

I'm the IT administrator for my organization and I recently just had this issue with Autodesk Inventor Professional 2014.

Does Autodesk know why the information in memory loses sync with data on hard drive? Is their a better way to fix this issue than requesting engineers to manually refresh the components?

Some of the engineers I work with don't like to do anything except engineering and if software doesn't work they blame it for not being able to work.

Thanks,

Alex
