Setting view via iLogic

I have been looking around but have not been able to find examples of how (If I can) set the model views via iLogic.  Got any ideas?

What I am trying to do is to have the view change from "Master" to the view I have created for each part, so when I go to create drawing all I have to select the right view and the part changes to match view.

Hi Breeze104,

There is an example of setting View Representations active at this link:

http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/Autodesk-Inventor/pos-rep-view-rep-and-ilogic/m-p/3371837

I hope this helps.

I am not well versed in API script so I am not sure what to make of the code, but I did copy it and changed to match my part, but I keep getting this error...

Error in rule: Rule1, in document: 72-3

Unable to cast COM object of type 'System.__ComObject' to interface type 'Inventor.AssemblyComponentDefinition'. This operation failed because the QueryInterface call on the COM component for the interface with IID '{AA044AA1-D685-11D3-B7A0-0060B0F159EF}' failed due to the following error: No such interface supported (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80004002 (E_NOINTERFACE)).

So I am not sure what this means.  The other thing is...This is a Sheet metal part so I don't have the "Representations" folder as in your example.  I just have "View" under the Folded Model.

Hi Breeze104,

The example I provided was for working with Assembly representations, so that it likely the source of the error you're seeing. If I can find some spare time, I'll try and come up with an example for parts.

I hope this helps.

Thanks.  That would be appreciated.  I will be able to use the example you provided because I will need to make weldment drawings of the sub asseblies as well.
