Section view label

A section view was created in an idw. I want to edit the scale label to display: "Scale= 1:2". But from my knowledge it seems to only display: "Scale= 1/2" as per the default in the drawing view editor. How is the label editted to display "Scale= 1:2"?
Thanks?

Mark, you could double-click on your view, and de-select the option to display the scale, and select the option to display the view title.

Then, right-click on the actual text on the view, and select "edit text". There, you can type in "SCALE=1/2", etc.

I wish I knew,  I hate this feature of IV
too.  I work in architectural scales, for pipe fitters, not machinist
scales or whatever the decimal (Edited by Moderator) they make you enter is when working with the
views.

Can this be set up to allow ACAD'esque scale
factors?
