I have a 3D part, which I want to scale down to 0.5 the size in X and Y direcions, but I don't want to scale it down in Z direction.
Is this even possible? How do I go about doing it?
Thanks..
Try the Derived Part Scale and Position tool in the SDK folder.

Fusion? Mac?
anbazhag, are you using Inventor Fusion or Autodesk Inventor (two entirely different programs)?

You can use the Shrinkage command in Mold Design if you cannot find other good solution.
Vote for this idea and share your thoughts with the Development Team about how to improve Inventor by adding this ability :

I hope this helps.

Thanks for the responses, everyone.
However, I installed the Derived part_SP tool, but it is not showing in my inventor. The addons module also does not show it at all.
Go to Tools>Add-Ins tab (not the the Add-Ins tab).
Print Screen and attach screen shot of your Add-Ins Manager here
