SaveAsReplace Macro

Who made this macro? I was wondering if it is function ready for INV8? I
tried it and it keeps crashing... Sometimes it works, sometimes it
doesn't... I am using it quite a bit... It never crashed Inventor, just the
macro itself...

I wrote it and am working on a new version that does a lot more. It is
an add-in and supports cloning assemblies, changing properties and (make
sure you are all sitting down) Pack-N-Link from inside the assembly. I
will announce it here when it is ready for testing.

Hello all, First my sincere thanks to all writers of additional macros and stuff that make our IV users life much more pleasant and easy.
But I am convienced that we-the users-would have to press Adesk to implement those codes in standard IV versions as soon as possible.
Why?
I still haven't forgot discussions from this summer where the output of the debate about subscriptions was going on. Among dissapointed subscribers then was also Sean. And he writes many usefull codes for us all. What if some of this masters quit some doing so one day, and what about the care of us all when the number of usefull codes - macros grows up big and when IV gets newer versions every 6 months. A lot of downloads, a lot of care to keep the system at the previous version level. Keeping up with all the codes is also taking our precious time.
My memories to AutoCAd's linetpyes, hatches and font migrations among newer versions is still alive.
I demanded Autodesk to implement a simple save as command in ipt enviroment a while ago (IV is a Windows based software)
Thanks for your time
