I have a user who no longer has a pdf option when "saving copy as" in Inventor 2010. He sees a few other options but not pdf. I will get him to perform a fix and reboot but are there any other suggestions if those do not work?
What about printing to PDF? Would that work? It should. Gives you the same results.

It is an option but I would rather fix the problem. I typically do not like that method as the pdf distiller usually ends up with a larger file size for some reason.
If you go through the Export menu does it work?
If it's missing from the Save Copy As file types list, then you might check that the translator Add-in is loaded.
Go to the Tools tab > Add-Ins button:
If it's not there you might need to re-register the add ins:
I hope this helps.
Best of luck to you in all of your Inventor pursuits,

tell him to download Bullzip, its a free pdf printer, and will also save in png, jpeg, etc.
The "Export" as Curtis showed would be the better choice, as it preserves Layers in the PDF (if required).
It still should have been in IV2010....
You don't see "SAVE AS PDF" simply because it is NOT A SAVE AS OPTION and never has been THE ONLY PDF OPTION IS " EXPORT AS PDF . Looks like some one needs to go back to basics. Save as PDf is available in OTHER programs such as MS Office and the likes but Never in Inventor at least not since version 9 when I started to use it.
Do it from the main dialogue box:
