Rotate Miter on Rectangular Tube?

I have been converting company standard parts to inventor and making iParts. We use alot of tubing and other steel members. I've created an iPart for rectangular tube and added miters to either side. When I created Square tubing It was unnecessary to specify which side of the tube the miter was on. Here is the problem, how can I rotate the miter around to the perpendicular side of the rectangular tube? I hope I've explained this well enough.

Two ways off the top of my head.

1. Create 4 mitres and suppress or compute as required
2. Create the mitre on a workplane that is defined by an angle. Change
this angle in the iPart rows.
