Roof again :)

With johnsonshiue and wh help i made my roof.

It will work, i made something like this before, different software and long time ago

So THANK YOU, and i just have one question.

In this roof: one spline, one template x8, simmetrical roof

If i want to make the roof with of centre top hole, everyting else stays the same, non symmetrical.

Do i have to make 8 different splines to make 8 different templates or there is a smart and nice way?

Can you post your part to take a look at?

I am looking at your model.  The first question I have is, in your assembly model you have 8 sides, yet in your picture it shows 6 sides.  Which one do you really want?  That matters because it will affect the width of each panel.

Regardless, this is what I came up with.  See the attached models.

You might also want to figure out how to pattern the panels in the part instead of creating an assembly.

I am confused about the design intent.

Something like this?

HI , Thank You for the answer, and i am sorry for not precise question.

Amount of sides and shape of top  hole doesn't matter (bdw i need to find time to lern i find out how Cadmanto made it )

All that samples are symmetric roofs, but what if the top hole is not in center of roof and width an hight of roof stay the same

All I did was take your part file, shrink the smaller hex sketch to be smaller.  Meaning a greater (larger dimension spacing size from large hex) distance from the large hex.

That made the top portion of the surface come to more of a point in the top middle.

Then in the assembly I just created an assembly cut for the hole.

Hope this makes sense.
