Revision Table Please

I am working on improving my template file and I am having problem's with
the revision table. How do you format the revision table for the template.
I thought that I just open the template file. Create a revision table and
edit the column headings. Delete the revision table. and when you create a
new drawing from that template the revision table will look the same? But
for some reason the revision table created when I do a new drawing looks
nothing like the one I made in the template. It has the wrong columns in the
wrong places. I'm almost done but this revision table is really getting to
me. Please tell me what I'm doing wrong.
Thank you
Jesse

If you search on the NG you will find that you need to format it for each
drawing. The changes are not saved.

There is no way to set up a standard format for your revision table? You
have to add custom columns every time?
That's crazy.

You might want to Give my KWiKFile program a shot. I just quickly
added it to my site, no description on it yet, but basically it brings
up the file dialog and you pick the template, then it brings up the file
dialog again, and you give the file a name.

You can find it at http://www.mymcad.com/kwik/iCode/icode.htm

The revision table has only been in the product for about 3 full releases
now, you dont expect it to work yet do you? However I am sure it is
scheduled for a makeover in a "Future" release.....

Same for weldments....
Same for lots of things that were thrown in half baked so they could add it
to the Inventor brochure and website as being part of the product. They
never once actually said that it worked though.....

You could creat a sketched symbol with prompted entries to populate your
columns.

Dave,

I think it would be fair to say that everyone is getting tired of lots of
promises with empty deliveries. Some of us are just a little more vocal than
others........

I have tried being patient, that didn't work, so its time to speak up.

That's what I'm saying... when I read your post I did a double-take cuz I
thought I wrote it... your preaching to the preacher.

Please, continue.... I enjoy a good/substantiated rant (really, I do).
