After I have moved some files on the company network I tried to open the assembly and expect to get the resolve link dialog box for files not found. It seems the Inventor is hanging up an "not responding". Is this a computer performance issu? What am I missing? I never had this issue with other installations of Autodesk Inventor at other companies I worked for. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
was the system you are opening these assy files ever setup with two monitors?
If so, it's possible the resolve link window is popping up off screen and cannot be seen.
Might need to move that window with the keyboard by holding down the alt key then hit the spacebar. Then hit the m key (for Move) then use your arrow keys to move the unseen window around. You may need to repeat this process a few times until you determine where the window is exactly.
Practice with another visible window so you know what to expect.
