When working inside an ipt, I want to open the idw from the browser using the right-click > "open drawing" option. The link is broken, however; so the idw must be searched for manually and opened. How can I repair the link so I can open the idw from the ipt browser in the future?

I believe for this feature to work, the drawing must have the same file name (other than extension) as the part.
Example:
Part file name: 12345.ipt
Drawing: 12345.idw
If these file names are not the same, this feature will do what you described. I have limited experience using it, so I may be wrong on this, but I think they also have to be in the same folder.
On top of what John said, where the part and drawing created together through inventor or was there a copy saves condition used to created them. Just wondering if the link possibly got broken.

Thanks to you both. Was indeed a broken link; names of idw and ipt didn't exactly match. Changing the filename of the idw to exact match of the ipt allowed the idw to be retrieved from the browser of the ipt - at least for the one file I tried this out on.
