What does the red up arrow next to extrussion features indicate?

Hi,
It doesn't mean anything other than to show (as part of the feature symbol) that is an extrusion.
It doesn't mean that it's positive or negative about the planes or anything like that.
As noted - it doesn't mean anything - but it should.
They should adopt a convention of a green arrow for an Extrusion Join, red arrow for Extrusion Cut, blue arrow for Extrusion Intersection and something else for initial or additional solid body.
I know this is an old thread, but this question came up in my department so I thought I would create an idea speaking to this topic.
