Recommendations for learning Inventor 7

Ok all you old hands, what's the better book for learning Inventor 7?
A) Autodesk Inventor 7: Inside and Out (Ron Meyers)
B) Autodesk Inventor 6 Essentials with Autodesk Inventor 7 Update (Daniel T. Banach, et al)
C) Autodesk Inventor 7: Basics through Advanced (David P. Madsen)

I'm an old autocad user (vers 9 thru 14) trying to self-teach myself Inventor. Thanks!

Ron frequents this group often.

I have only heard good things about his courseware.

I keep saying nice things about him in the hopes that he would send me a
copy.

Using Autodesk Inventor 6 by Ron K.C. Cheng. You can see examples of work my students have done after learning from this site (50%) and the Cheng book (49%), me (<1%).

All three authors have their strong points. In the past, I have found
that the more books, the more likely to cover MY interests, not just the
authors.

While continuing your lessons with the books would
be good, I would suggest that you start with the tutorials that ship with the
software, then move to the supplied sample files and actually read the README
files in each of the directories.

Then move to the tutorials on Sean's
site.

Inventor really isn't that hard to learn - but I
also know that I like printed material when I'm learning something
new.

Thanks, all. I've gone thru the tutorials, but still have lots to learn. I'll check out the readme files, didn't know they existed.

just a thought, you might also look at which books
have an index so you can use them for reference afterwords. I fhave found that
having a printed book that i can find information on a comand in so
helpfull.

If someone tells you you can pick it up in two weeks don't
listen........three months will open your eyes to what IV can really do!
Don't forget that whilst in the middle of a task you can press F1 for help
on that particular task, there is more there than is given credit for.
