Recommendation for LARGE display (meetings/demos)

We frequently call up CAD data during department meetings and demos for clients and customers.  Our conference room is equiped with a somewhat dated 4:3 projection style setup, that honestly looks dreadful (dark image/very soft edges/etc.)  Would a large format (50"+) big screen LCD or LED HD monitor work better?  Are there any better projectors out there that we should be looking at?

Any comments or suggestions would be helpful.  Thanks

Is this going to be used in conference room would if so would it not be better and more economical to get something like this http://cpc.farnell.com/lg-electronics/47ln540v/tv-led-47-100-mci/dp/AV22885 its a 47 LED TV it has HDI conceivability to a graphics card as well a normal TV and video inputs, 29 inch was the biggest monitor on that site or if a TV is out of the question why not consider a OHP some examples here http://cpc.farnell.com/jsp/search/results.jsp?N=411+705+205135&Ns=P_PRODUCT_ID%7c1&isRedirect=true these are almost a costly as the TV option

I don't know the prices but if its going to see a reasonable amount of use involving discussion and presentation you might want to look into the smartboard. I think ours is the M600.
