Re Orient Part

Hi,

Once I design a part, is it possible to re-orient the part to another plane? The situation relates to orientation for 3D printing and probably CNC machining. As I design a part, sometimes somewhere down the line I realize that the part should be oriented a different way with respect to the X-Y plane for better placement for 3D printing. Can I just reassign plane ID's and/or assign a plane to another part face?

Thanks,

Roger

You can right click on the first sketch and redefine to a different plane

or

You  can use the Move Body command to rotate the model

or

you can Derive Component

or

in our 3D printer software we can change the model to any desired orientation - perhaps yours is the same.
