Publishing custom library of rivets problem

Hello

I would like to publish the custom threaded rivets library.

I wish I could add it to Rivets section but it is not available in the Component Authoring.

Actually I did create it in the Clevis Pin section but I would like some order in my library where everything is set on a right place. I mean I wish my rivets will be placed in Rivet section.

Please advise it is possible to make Rivets available in the Component Authoring?

There are any ways to move it to other section after Publishing?

Is it possible to create the custom section which will be available and visible in Component Authoring?

Best regards,

Orest Yavtushenko

Hi Orest.

I think you are on the right track.

You can use the authoring tool to define the needed geometry for the content center parts. Clevis pin works fine for that.

If you publish the part after that you can choose another folder and you will see that rivets are available there. You have to link the parameters again in this step.

But after publishing to your library you can find your rivets in Content Center.

Here are some screenshots.

Is this the workflow you were looking for?

Hi Dennis

I have created my coutersunk an cylindrical threaded rivets libraries under the countersunk and socket head bolts.

The difference is significant.

I can make the multiply and automatical installation of rivets to corresponded holes at once like bolts.

I do not have this option if I create a library in the Rivet section like you showed or at least it doesn work.

I just wish I could create my section and name it Threaded Rivets for instance in the Custom Center and put there my several libraries with rivets.

Best regards,

Orest

Hi Orest,

thanks for the video.

You are talking about the AutoDrop functionality.

Unfortunately, rivets do not support AutoDrop at all at the moment.

This is already logged in our database as a wish.

If you want to use AutoDrop as shown in your video you have to publish them in predefined Bolts/Pins/Nuts/Washers sub-categories. These categories do support AutoDrop.
