Project the intersection of an axis with a plane command?

If the answer to this exists elsewhere, please re-direct me there and delete this.

I am trying to constrain a point on a sketch to the intersection of an axis with my sketch plane... and I'm having some trouble.  I can't select the axis when I select the "Projet Cut Edges" and the "Project Geometry" is of no use because the axis is not normal to my sketch plane.

I'm trying to cut holes normal to my sketch plane on a curved surface using points projected from an overhead sketch.

It's possible I can come up with some other way, maybe... and I don't want to post the file for anybody to see.

Ideas?

Roll the EOP above the sketch.
Create Workpoint and select the axis and plane (or any surface).

Inventor will create workpoint at the pierce point location.

Now drag the EOP down and Project Geometry in the sketch.

EOP?

EOP = the red End of Part marker at the bottom of the feature tree.
Pulling it up before your sketch will ensure that the workpoint occurs in history BEFORE your sketch.

or

simply start a new sketch after creating the workpoint.

If you can't figure this out - attach your ipt file here (you might roll up the EOP first to make the file dramatically smaller).
