Mike,
Do your BR2 model files "live" on the server or locally?
The idea behind the IPJ path in App Options is to assign a (local) place
for the shortcuts to "live".
The actual IPJ should exist with the model files (usually on a server)
with the "browse" button in the Open Dialog (projects icon) used to find
the actual IPJ. IV automatically creates a shortcut in the IPJ path
called out in App Options.
If IV is allowed to create and place the shortcut properly (as designed)
it should stick and be available in further sessions.
I *believe* that if you use Explorer to find a IPJ and double click the
IPJ to start IV, IV will fire with that project active, but it will NOT
remember (or place a shortcut) where you "found" the IPJ in later
sessions.
