Problems with DWG Trueview and Inventor .dwg

The attached shows the same .dwg in Inventor (on left) and DWGTrueview (on right). Both are 2010 versions. I tried DWG Trueview 2011 with the same results.

I see everything fine in IV, but lines are missing in DWGTrueview. It is my purchasing and shop guys having the issue, although I get the same results on my box. It is not a consistant problem. Some .dwgs are ok but a few are not.

have you tried saving your drawings to "AutoCAD dwg" and not "Inventor dwg"?

There are two types of dwg's you can save to in Inventor.

I have not and I do know that there is a difference. Thanks for the thought.

I had gone to .dwg from .idw when the IV .dwg came out. This was to stop the whinning about the .idw's. And the change has been good, except for the instances when something is lost, which leads me to my original post.
I do resist making both IV and Autocad .dwg's as this may cause unforseen issues. Beside, I do not want to let them know that there is a difference.

As for the original post. Other .dwg's made by the same operator on the same day (also other .dwg's on earlier and later days) view just fine. It is just this .dwg. (and random others that I only hear about when they occur)

I've got very little exposure to the different dwg types, but when I
check what options are available, I notice the Inventor dwg doesn't
allow the Options button to be used where as the AutoCAD dwg type does.

I'm left wondering if maybe researching what the different options the
Acad dwg type might provide you with "the ideal" dwg...no need to tell
any of the non-Inventor users there are two types of dwg...

I've noticed this too, I am watching this thread with interest!

I've noticed the problem with rendered views. The colours are dropped into Autocad as bitmap image which sometimes 'Floats' to the top, obscuring the line work below. Drawings don't print from Autocad so well either...
