Our designers state that when they create a drawing with Inventor and save it locally, if they make changes to it after the save and want to save again they can only do a save as. The only way out of this is if they check the drawing in and then check it out again. Is there a setting error, has anyone experienced this before.
Thank you
Hi and welcome,
I think we need more information about your setup. What versions of software are you using, and is this a Vault environment? Are the drawings that are being edited checked into Vault.... and do your users first do Get Revision on them? Is this a network environment?

Welcome to the forum.
Sounds like when they are checking the files into the vault they are not retaining ownership. So when they check in the files make sure this is checked and they wont have this issue.
